Jaimie Alexander stars in the NBC series 'Blindspot.'

The war with Shepherd (Michelle Hurd) and terrorist organization Sandstorm has been won, but Jane Doe (Jaimie Alexander) and Kurt Weller (Sullivan Stapleton) are not safe in "Blindspot" Season 3. The big bad of the upcoming installment of the crime/mystery series has already been identified and his evil plans have already been laid out.

The Season 2 finale ended with a time jump and an exciting new mystery for Jane and Weller: their friends are missing and the suspected kidnapper has left an important item that made Jane's tattoos glow. Show creator Martin Gero confirmed that Jane's brother is, indeed, the reason behind the bioluminescent new tattoos. Moreover, he is the chief villain that Jane and Weller have to go after this season.

"It would be fair to guess that Roman is behind it," he told TV Line. "[B]ut it's not about Sandstorm. It's not about taking over the American government. It's a whole new thing now."

Gero also explained that Roman is very angry at Jane because of the events of the last season. Jane was his only family left and the only one he trusted. He felt betrayed when she chose Weller and the FBI over him.

The showrunner also added that Mitchell has already been promoted to series regular and, therefore, will have an increased number of appearances in "Blindspot" Season 3. He will be in every episode which means that Jane and Weller have to watch their backs.

When Jane finally has to confront Roman, will she be able to kill him? In a previous interview with Collider, Gero also shared that if forced to choose between her and her brother, Jane will probably just choose to die than kill her Roman. She also carries some guilt over her failure to protect him when they were kids and failure to stand by him now.

It will be interesting to see how Roman's plans will play out in "Blindspot" Season 3. The series will premiere on Oct. 27 on NBC.
