'The 100' Season 5: Marie Avgeropoulous Teases Octavia's Bloody Future
"The 100" Season 5 has already started filming and, already, the situation in the post-apocalyptic Earth is growing more dangerous. In a behind-the-scenes look on the set of the teen dystopian drama, Marie Avgeropoulos reveal first look at Octavia Blake who is bathed in blood.
Whoever's blood was spilled and why is something that fans will probably not know in a while. The next installment of the sci-fi series will not return until sometime in 2018.
However, it does warn of the carnage waiting in the upcoming season. After all, just because the second nuclear apocalypse is over and a few remaining humans have survived, but there are still challenges and consequences that are yet to be won.
Here is the actor's Instagram post. The caption reads: "Heavy flow."
To recall, to escape the end of the world and the annihilation of all life, Octavia led about 1,200 Grounders and hid inside a bunker. The last viewers have seen of them, the bunker stars shaking.
In a previous interview, showrunner Jason Rothenberg warned that not everyone survived the apocalypse. "I don't want to tell you who, or if, but six years is a long time," he told Hidden Remote. "They were only on the ground for 10 months ... and a lot of people died while we were on the ground, and certainly they're not out of harm's way."
Because Octavia, Bellamy (Bob Morley) and Clarke (Eliza Taylor) were all separated in the finale, they likely would face different challenges. Moreover, it looks like fans will see all three characters significantly changed a little more mature in "The 100" Season 5.
After the massive time jump, the showrunner teased that the changes in Octavia, Bellamy, and Clarke in the next installment of the dystopian series are pretty "extreme." He added, "it's been fun to write."
