'Supernatural' Season 13: 'The Walking Dead' Star Jeffrey Dean Morgan To Return?
Jeffrey Dean Morgan thinks that the story of John Winchester, father to Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Sam (Jared Padalecki) is still not over yet. In a recent interview, the actor who infamously plays the role of Negan on "The Walking Dead" revealed that he still wants to go back to the long-running paranormal series on The CW.
John played a very important role in shaping how Dean and Sam turned out today: after his wife was killed by a yellow-eyed demon, the Winchester patriarch became a hunter and raised his sons to eliminate the evil forces on Earth. He was killed (twice) by the demon Azazel.
However, like his wife, Morgan thinks that John can still come back to life. As he says, in "Supernatural," no one stays dead for long.
"Before it's all said and done, and we talk about it all the time and I've been saying it for years - because it's 'Supernatural,' and you can come back (as proven by every actor that ever been on the show), I certainly hope that at some point not only will John return in some capacity but I think that Sam and Dead need to have some closure," he said during a Q&A panel at the 'Supernatural' Convention in New Jersey (via Comicbook.com). "And I think you, the audience, deserves it."
Morgan's return in the paranormal series will not be an impossibility. In fact, in the previous season, Mary (Samantha Smith), Dean and Sam's mother whose death jumpstarted the adventures of the brothers, was brought back to life.
Moreover, Mary Winchester is not the only character who will be resurrected in"Supernatural" Season 13. Bobby Singer (Jim Beaver) who became Dean and Sam's foster dad since John's sudden disappearance is also back, but in an alternate universe where the brothers did not save the world from falling apart.
Showrunner Andrew Dabb recently confirmed to TV Line that Loretta Devine will reprise the role of Missouri Moseley in the upcoming season. The last time the psychic appeared was way back in Season 1.
"Supernatural" Season 13 will premiere on Oct. 12 on The CW. Watch the trailer below.
