IU's physical album will not be released sooner. The South Korean singer's agency has already released a statement, apologizing to the fans. On top of that, the singer revealed the cause of the delay of her album.

It seems as though IU's fans will have to wait a bit more for the release of her remake album titled "Flower Bookmark 2." The hit singer's agency, FAVE Entertainment (formerly known as LOEN Entertainment) recently released a statement about the issue. As per Naver, they are currently facing some "production issues."

The physical album is supposed to be out the market today. However, IU's agency said that the record will be released sometime in October. It is still not clear as to when is the exact date of the release, though. Even so, the agency promised that it will give further announcement next week.

IU's agency also expressed its regret about the delay. It added that Chuseok holiday also caused the holdup. To make up for the fans, FAVE Entertainment said they will just give two posters for the first batch of copies.

But some fans think that there is more reason behind the delay. The album is supposed to include a song by Kim Kwang Seok. Thus, rumors are circulating that the pushback is linked to the late singer.

In a different report from Naver, IU shed more light on the issue. The K-pop idol opened up to her fans during her fan meeting at Ewha University on Sunday. There, she shared that she has been a fan of Kim. And because of that, his song got included on her remake album.

Even so, the news about the deceased singer just a few days ago. Thus, IU said it is not a good time to release Kim's song. She added that she will just launch it some other time where fans can "enjoy it with a happy heart."
