Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 Specs Leaked; To Come With A 4GB RAM/128GB ROM Option
There's a lot of heating coming from China this year, especially in the technology market. Xiaomi is among those top Chinese brands that have managed to stir up a lot of attention towards their side. The firm is expected to take the wraps off its Redmi Pro 2 smartphone sometime later this year. The upcoming device will serve as the successor to last year's Redmi Pro. It is interesting to note how certain key details regarding the Redmi Pro 2 briefly appear on the company's official website. At the same time, there are multiple rumor-based reports making its way as well.
According to a report by Gadgets 360, a source emerging from China may have leaked the set of complete specifications of the upcoming Redmi Pro 2 smartphone. As was previously reported, the smartphone is going to come with a special 3GB RAM variant. The former speculation-based report matches the information that emerged online a couple of weeks back. Moreover, since the original Redmi Pro came equipped with a 4GB RAM/128GB ROM option - the chances of the upcoming Redmi Pro 2 following the footsteps of the former are high.
On the camera front, a report by GizChina claims that the upcoming Redmi Pro 2 smartphone will probably sport a dual rear camera setup with 16MP sensors. At the same time, there are many reports that claim that the device-in-question won't offer 16MP rear sensors but 12MP. The front camera of the Redmi Pro 2 will probably come packed with a 16MP sensor. When compared to last year's Redmi Pro model - this is quite a bump as it featured a 5MP front camera sensor. The latest leak does not provide any information on the display size or the processor of the Redmi Pro 2 smartphone.
As can be recalled, specifications regarding the Redmi Pro 2 smartphone emerged online last month. The rumor-based report suggested that the upcoming Redmi Pro 2 smartphone will most probably come equipped with a 5.5-inch display - same as what appeared in its predecessor. Apart from that, the smartphone is expected to be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 660 SoC. It seems like the company has decided to opt for full-HD resolution with an LCD display instead of the OLED display as previously rumored. The other features of the smartphone will remain the same as last year's model. Howeve, readers are advised to note that this information has not been confirmed by the company officially as yet. Therefore, it remains to be seen exactly what works out.
