Neither Black Pink nor Big Bang is the most popular K-pop act in 2017 on Tumblr. The title belongs to BTS, whose members are Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Rap Monster, Jimin, V and Jungkook.

Every year, South Korea has more than 90 million engagements with K-pop content on Tumblr. This makes it the third-most active country with the micro-blogging platform following the United States and the United Kingdom.

Data from Jan. 1 to June 28 was collected from all Tumblr posts using the "kpop" tag, Billboard reported. Based on the data, the micro-blogging platform released a list of the top 25 most active artists.

Most of the artists in the list were K-Pop groups. With BTS in the number one spot, EXO, GOT7, Seventeen and Monsta X ranked second, third, fourth and fifth, respectively.

The only individual artists included in the last were G-Dragon and T.O.P of Big Bang, who ranked 14th and 21st, respectively. Neither Big Bang nor Black Pink made it to the top 10 with the former ranking at number 11 while the latter ranking at number 12.

At number six was B.A.P. followed by SHINee, NCT 127, Twice and VIXX at numbers six, seven, eight, nine and 10, respectively. The other artists that made it to the top 25 list were Red Velvet, Girls' Generation, MAMAMOO, DAY6, NCT Dream, iKON, f(x), NCT U, GFriend, Pristin and K.A.R.D.

In other news, Xiumin of EXO and Mark of NCT have been tapped as the next artists to release a track for the second season of SM Station, a digital music project by S.M. Entertainment. Their collaboration song "Young & Free" will be released on various music sites on July 7, according to Soompi.

Prior to Xiumin and Mark's collaboration song, one song was already released under the SM Station project on June 30, Friday. It was a collaboration song titled "Decalcomanie," which was recorded by IMLAY and Sik-K.
