Beloved characters of the long-running ABC medical drama will find themselves reuniting with family members and old friends in the upcoming "Grey's Anatomy" Season 14. Latest casting news revealed Kim Raver's return to the series to reprise her role as Owen's (Kevin McKidd) former military colleague.

Avid viewers of the said medical drama will soon see a familiar face in an upcoming "Grey's Anatomy" Season 14 episode. Kim Raver was tapped to make a special appearance and re-portray her role of Teddy, according to Deadline. The said character was a former surgeon at Seattle Grace Mercy West Hospital who later took a top post at the United States Army Medical Command (MEDCOM).

Kim Raver's Teddy last appeared in "Grey's Anatomy" Season 8 after Owen fired her so that she could accept the position at the U.S. Army's MEDCOM. She was also mentioned in the medical series' recent Season 13 finale when Teddy spoke with Amelia (Caterina Scorsone) on the phone to confirm that Owen's sister Megan was still alive. Presumed dead for 10 years after Megan's Army helicopter disappeared, the said character's return to Owen's side is expected to unveil several interesting story twists for beloved characters in the upcoming "Grey's Anatomy" Season 14.

Story speculations posted on TVLine hinted that Teddy might be part of the team who will help reunite Megan with her brother. Given that Teddy once had a crush on Owen, the former Army doctor might find himself in a love triangle with his military colleague and his wife Amelia in "Grey's Anatomy" Season 14.

Moreover, Megan's reappearance might affect Nathan's (Martin Henderson) relationship with Meredith (Ellen Pompeo). Nathan was romantically linked with Owen's younger sister and his argument with Megan prior her disappearance became one of the reasons why Amelia's husband became angry with Meredith's new beau. However, one of the story speculations for the upcoming "Grey's Anatomy" Season 14 indicated that Nathan's bond with Megan might hinder him from further developing his relationship with Meredith.

At this time, it is still unclear if the said story speculations will happen in the ABC medical drama's upcoming new season. "Grey's Anatomy" Season 14 is set to premiere sometime in fall.
