AMD’s Powerful Radeon RX Vega Debuts With Apple iMac Pro

Apple recently got done with its WWDC 2017 event wherein the Cupertino tech-giant made a couple of announcements. Along with new software announcements from Apple, the fans also received the first news on Radeon RX Vega graphics card at the event. AMD, very strategically it seems announced its much-talked-about Radeon Pro Vega. The former is a new GPU set that will first debut with Apple's iMac Pro. Looking at its specifications, it appears like the AMD Radeon RX Vega is exactly what the fans thought it would be - a powerful system aimed especially towards professionals.

According to a report published by Game Debate, Apple's iMac Pro will be the first to debut the AMD Radeon Vega graphics card. There will be two different Radeon Vega graphics card, one called Radeon Pro Vega 56 and the other, the Radeon Pro Vega 64. While the former packs 3,584 cores; the latter sports 4,096 cores. Both of these will be available with 8GB and 16GB HBM2 respectively.

According to another report published by PCGamesn, the performance figures on the upcoming AMD graphics cards haven't revealed yet. However, on the basis of several speculations, it has been believed that the Vega Pro 64 model and Vega Pro 56 model will come with a total memory bandwidth of 400GB/s. 

As pointed by WCCFtech, users even apparently got a close-up shot of the upcoming Vega GPU. It was observed that Vega GPU was divided into 8 separate clusters - out of which each houses 8 individual next-gen computer units.

Apple isn't going to launch its recently-announced iMac Pro anytime soon. It is come to believe that the device will be launched sometime later this year. However, the Radeon RX Vega GPUs will probably launch by the end of next month or in early August.
