Google Unveils New Products, Including New Pixel Phone

Looks like Google is set to step up its hardware game for the upcoming Google Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones. Just last week, a leaked render for the Google Pixel 2 have surfaced; but, it has recently been proven to be fake. This leak from GFXBench, however, seems to be the real deal.

Posted on GFXBench's official website, the Google Pixel XL2 seems to be following the trend of what flagship smartphones have started out this year, minimal bezels. The Google Pixel XL2 will be sporting a 5.6-inch screen with a 2560x1312 resolution, most reports are predicting that Google is gearing up to use an 18:9 aspect ratio for the Pixel XL2, much like the Samsung S8 and the LG G6.

Other details revealed from the GFXBench leak is the processor. The Google Pixel XL2 will be using an "octa core CPU @2.4GHz," which describes the latest Snapdragon 835 along with 4GM RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. Graphics processing power is no slouch as well with an Adreno 540 GPU inside, just like current flagships HTC 11, Samsung S8 and Xiaomi Mi6.

Forbes, however, reports that there is something quite odd with the GFXBench leak. It suggests that the Google Pixel XL2 would have a 7-megapixel front shooter, a downgrade from the current 8-megapixel front camera found on the Google Pixel XL. The main camera though stays at a standard 12-megapixels.
