Everything On T.O.P’s Drug Scandal So Far And The Secret Behind The Mysterious Trainee
BIGBANG's T.O.P was recently charged with a drug scandal by the police. With the event taking place at a rapid place, many questions have been left unanswered. Nobody knows the identity of the trainee that smoked marijuana at T.O.P's house. Nobody knows how the police found out about the incident either.
Well, we have answers to all these major questions. Let's start one by one: Who was the female trainee who smoked marijuana with T.O.P at his house? It was 21-year-old Han Seo Hee, born in 1995. She has been a trainee at multiple companies and has auditioned to be a K-Pop idol, multiple times.
She started her career in the entertainment industry when she auditioned for JYP Entertainment in the year of 2011. She won the 1st place during these auditions and was also featured on JYP Entertainment's YouTube Channel.
Later, Han Seo Hee appeared in MBC's Birth of a Great Star 3. The show was aired between 19th October 2012 and 1st March 2013. She was then hired as a trainee at Source Music and was training to make her debut alongside GFRIEND. But that did not happen, she was either removed or left the company prior to the debut on January 15th, 2015.
She was then a part of Jellyfish Entertainment and was rumored to be debuting in the girl group 'Gugudan'. In June 2016, Han Seo Hee deleted all of her social media accounts in an attempt to disappear from the public eye.
How did the police get to know about T.O.P's involvements in drugs? Well, they started looking into other idols after Yang Seung Ho a.k.a XIN was arrested in Tokyo, Japan on the charges of smoking marijuana. XIN was a close friend of the BIGBBANG group and so the police started investigating T.O.P back in March 2016. They could not convict T.O.P because there was not sufficient evidence against him, in order to demand a drug test.
The police also began investigating Han Seo Hee for illegal drug abuse in the March of 2017. She started smoking marijuana in order to cope with her stress and depression. Police were then able to connect Han Seo Hee with T.O.P on the accounts of smoking marijuana together. This was enough proof to demand a drug test from T.O.P which came back positive.
T.O.P was soon convicted of smoking marijuana, and on 1st June 2017 reports of T.O.P's drug usage were made public while he was away on a 3-day break from his military responsibilities.
The police have now forwarded the drug case to prosecutors and have also recommended indictment for the idol. A leak from the inside of the police department has revealed that another member of the BIGBANG group was also tested for drugs in his system, but the tests came back negative and hence no investigations was carried out.
T.O.P was restricted inside his assigned military station which is the Gangnam Police Station. If he is found guilty, he faces up to 5 years in prison and/or a fine up to 50 million won/ $45,000.
He was released from his military position yesterday and has been given the permission to go home. He hasn't evaded the drug charges and faces a lawsuit despite his current medical condition due to his recent overdose on anti-depressants.
A few hours ago, the K-pop idol opened his eyes and has been declared fully awake by the hospital. According to initial reports, he could be seen walking around without any major issues. He was discharged from the hospital a few hours later and left for his house.
Meanwhile the court date still stands and hopefully, the k-pop idol will appear in time to face the charges he has been accused of.
