‘Pokemon Go’ Anniversary Event To Feature XP Bonuses, Discounted Lucky Eggs, Fire & Ice-Type Pokemon
It has been a year since the launch of our favorite augmented reality game "Pokemon Go." In order to make the event a mesmerizing one for the players, Niantic has launched the first ever in-game events and a real-world festival in Chicago. The in-game event will start from June 13 and will feature many innovative rewards.
In a recent press release, Niantic has shared that the company is celebrating two milestones, one for complete one successful year and another for reaching 750 million downloads of "Pokemon Go." The company wanted to celebrate the success by organizing real-world and in-game events. The players will be able to celebrate the in-game event on June 13 and can get XP bonuses for accurate throws, discounted lucky eggs, Fire-type, and Ice-type Pokemon.
On the other note, the real-world event will place on July 22 in downtown Chicago at Grant Park. The attendees will be able to celebrate the "Pokemon Go" community with various festivities. The tickets for the "Pokemon Go" Fest Chicago will go on sale online June 19.
Although Niantic is organizing the real-world event at Chicago, Niantic has different plans for those "Pokemon Go" trainers outside the US. The press release revealed that the company will be holding various celebrations across the Europe from June to September in partnership with Unibail-Rodamco shopping centers. Now a new fighting game, "Pokken Tournament DX" has been announced for the Nintendo Switch users.
Niantic has shared that they will be posting a complete schedule of these events very soon. The Pokemon Company is organizing "Pikachu Outbreak," a Pokemon event in Yokohama, Japan in August where the trainers will be exploring a unique "Pokemon Go" experience. They have advised the trainers to keep an eye on their social media channels in order to get the accurate details of the events and for buying the tickets. Let's get ready for the very first real-world event in the history of mobile gaming.
