BTS Update: "We Are Korean By Nature," Band Not To Enter US Market Any Time Soon
BTS recently made the headlines for winning the "Top Social Artist" award at the Billboard Music Awards' annual event. Following which, the artist band held a press conference at the Lotte Hotel in Seoul to celebrate the occasion with their fans. The band was asked a lot of questions at the event by the media members and they did answer gracefully.
According to a report published by Allkpop, BTS was asked if they were planning on entering the US market. They responded by saying that there were no such plans being hatched as far as BTS was concerned. Rap Monster even further went on to say that since they are originally Korean by nature, they would be more appealing to the Korean crowd. They feel they are at their best form when they sing in Korean. Rap Monster further went on to say that it is almost unbelievable that they managed to win the Billboard award. He finally recalled the time back in 2013 when they made their debut, suggesting that they had never thought that this deed was achievable by them.
At the event, BTS even made it clear that instead of planning on entering the US markets, they plan on continuing their growth as the band and wish to establish a good image of themselves amongst the mass. They said that they want to continue having interactions with the US market, but they won't be entering the US market.
Band member Jimin also further revealed that he felt like it was an honor for him to even attend "Billboard Music Awards." They further revealed that Celine Dion personally gave them an invitation to one of her concerts. However, they couldn't make it because of the busy schedule. However, it was really great for them to receive this opportunity.
