Reports suggest that Mark Harmon is quitting the show after "NCIS" Season 15.

Even though, there were quite a few rumors suggesting that "NCIS" Season 15 may not be renewed following the departure of Michael Weatherly as Tony DiNozzo; however, it appears like CBS entertainment network has confirmed the drama series for - not one but two new seasons.

An online report that was published recently suggests that CBS has renewed the drama series for two more seasons, completely disregarding the departure of Michael Weatherly post the completion of "NCIS" Season 13. Despite the above mentioned confirmed, there are quite a few uncertainties that require clarification as well. First and most importantly, the show has been evidently experiencing a drop in its rating.

According to a report published by TV Series Finale, "NCIS" Season 13 experienced a high-drop back in September 2016 of a 2.17 rating in the 19-49 demo, thereby resulting in a 12.50 percent drop from the previous season's ratings. The report also goes on to suggest that the reason why such a things took place is that of the absence of Michael Weatherly from being an integral part of the show. Moreover, several new characters were added towards the end of the show, pretty much causing a mess.

As per a report published by Enstarz, the upcoming season of "NCIS" will witness the addition of two new characters, Torres and Quinn. The show's future episodes will also be apparently focusing on the life of a military veteran who will be playing a crucial role as per reports.

Nothing else is known about the show's storyline and future characters yet. However, it appears like "NCIS" Season 15 are in the offing and the fans should brace themselves for some serious turnovers. Stay tuned for more updates.
