Google Pixel 2 Latest News & Update

Google Pixel 2 will come in three models - Muskie, Walleye, and Taimen. With the recent appearance of the device, the core specifications have also been revealed, including the performance level of Taimen.

Google Pixel 2 's Taimen Comes With Impressive Performance - The new Google Pixel 2 Taimen was tested on the benchmarking software Geekbench, which is a popular honeytrap for new devices. Based on the result, the handset's CPU is  Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor that is used in the US version of the Samsung Galaxy S8. A 4GB of RAM was also noted, and it runs on the next gen Android O that is set for release this year.

Google Pixel 2 Taimen, when compared to other smartphones in terms of its processor is said to be impressive, considering that the unit is just in a pre-production phase. It is also worth noting that the first generation of Pixel and Pixel XL used a Snapdragon 821 chip that was known as an incremental advancement over the S20 in the Galaxy S7. Regardless if the 821 came about because of some problems with 821, it remains unclear especially since there are no indications that a Snapdragon 836 is being planned at this point, Forbes reported.

Google Pixel 2 Render Reveals A Dual Camera Setup - A teaser video of Google Pixel 2 was released online, suggesting that the device will be sporting a dual camera system on both the front and back panels for better selfies. Incidentally, the dual camera setup is a regular feature among high-end smartphones, and if the render is true, the new handset would be the first premium to have dual cameras on the front.

Google Pixel 2 is also believed to come with 12MP camera lenses with a f/1.7 aperture on the back, while the camera is optimized for a low-light photography. Also, a fingerprint sensor could be seen on the back, just right above the Google logo. Moreover, the video also indicates that the new device will have an edge-to-edge OLED display, which is similar to Samsung Galaxy S8, Value Walk reported.
