According to a report published by Celebeat, Yondu Udonta is expected to make a comeback in the "Guardians of the Galaxy" Volume 3' despite the fact that he is seen as dying the previous movie. The report goes on to suggest that while in a Facebook, question and answer session with his fans, James Gun was asked numerous questions regarding the second MCU film and obviously its characters including Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket, and Groot.

During the Facebook session, the director revealed that while writing the script, the idea of Yondu Udonta's awesome Mary Poppins line popped up in his head. He also went on to accept that Yondu's final moment was heart-breaking and that there might be a possibility that he might make a comeback in the "Guardians of the Galaxy" Volume 3.

According to io9¸ the director was even heard suggesting that he wasn't going to be a part of "Guardians of the Galaxy" Volume 3' movie because Micheal Rooker wasn't going to be a part of it and it was amongst the toughest choices made by him.
