Xiaomi is as of late sending out feelers to their Indian fandom that they are about to unveil the next Redmi smartphone. In a recent hint by the company, it is believed that Xiaomi is about to reveal the Redmi 4.

The Indian arm of the Chinese tech giant took to Twitter to announce an upcoming event suggesting that the Xiaomi Redmi 4 is at hand. Despite the absence of what product they're going to reveal as well as a launch date, tech critics and Redmi users arrive at an assumption that the mentioned handset will be introduced, BGR reported.

Speculations were even fortified as Xiaomi Vice President Manu Kumar Jain affirmed that another Redmi is India bound alongside the Redmi 4 from which it is expected to be the Redmi 4 Prime. The price tags for the soon to be revealed devices are still undisclosed as of the moment. Talks are getting rife though that the former could have the same price as the Redmi 3S when it first came out in India.

The Xiaomi Redmi 4 is expected to arrive with a 5-inch IPS LCD display with a 296 PPI pixel density. Moreover, the phone will have a 13 and 5-megapixel rear and front shooter with the former getting add-ons such as phase detection autofocus and the usual LED flash, GSMArena noted.

However, it is said that the handset will still be carrying an Android Marshmallow operating system instead of the current Nougat. The Xiaomi Redmi 4 will be powered by one of Qualcomm's decent SoCs - the Snapdragon 430 that is clocked at 1.4 GHz alongside and Adreno 505 GPU. Additionally, its video playback capability will be 1080p at 30 fps.

Other features include a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, quick charging and a 4100 mAh non-removable lithium-polymer battery. Watch a video about the Xiaomi Redmi 4 here:
