Microsoft Surface Arc Mouse Has Full “Touch Strip” For Navigating, Released As Companion For The Surface Laptop
Microsoft has released the Surface Laptop recently with Windows 10 S at an event in NewYork. Aside from the laptop, Microsoft has secretly launched the new Surface Arc mouse at the event as an accessory to the laptop. The latest mouse is the revamped version of the old Arc Mouse from Microsoft.
The newly launched Microsoft Surface Arc mouse ditches the traditional scroll wheel and goes for an Apple mouse-esque touch strip on top of the two buttons. In this mouse, you can simply use the touch strip to scroll and navigate through various windows and lists.
The Surface Mouse retains the travel-friendly design, the user can snap it flat on the surface of the desk to switch it off and carry around with you and snap it up to switch it on and use with your PC. Microsoft claims it as the perfect travel companion for the Surface Laptop, as reported by Deccan Chronicle.
In order to power up the new Microsoft Surface Arc Mouse, you simply need to snap the mouse into its curved position and can snap it into a flat position to power it down and carry it. The new Surface Arc mouse comes with two buttons but on a single surface, featuring a capacitive touch 'full scroll pane'.
According to NDTV, Microsoft Surface Arc Mouse uses Bluetooth 4.0 for connectivity - these limits use with certain Apple and Windows 7 machines, the company states. The accessory comes with 2 AAA alkaline batteries and has a battery life of up to 9 months, as per the Microsoft's claims. The latest Surface Arc Mouse has a frequency range of 2.4GHz.
The Microsoft Surface Arc Mouse is available in burgundy, blue and gray colors and is available in the US for $80. Microsoft will start exporting it with the Surface Laptop in June 2017.
