Microsoft was expected to launch its much-awaited Surface Phone back in 2016 itself. However, due to reasons are best known to the Redmond tech giant, the company couldn't do as expected. Reports suggest that Microsoft Surface Phone might come this year.
According to a report published by Express, Microsoft is expected to launch its Surface Phone by the end of 2017. Moreover, it is highly likely that the Microsoft Surface Phone might come along with Windows 10 update as well.
The report quotes a user from Reddit, who claims to be an employee of Microsoft's contractor, as suggesting that the Microsoft Surface Phone will probably arrive by the end of this year.
Surface Phone is expected to serve as Microsoft's next greatest hardware advance. Ever since reports of the company giving up hopes on its Windows Phone emerged online, fans of the company felt disappointed assuming that there won't be any more smartphones from the side of Microsoft. However, it is reassuring to know that the company isn't completely withdrawing from the smartphone market and soon will launch Microsoft Surface Phone.
Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella made the headlines sometime earlier this month, by confirming that the company was, in fact, working on the "ultimate mobile device."
Other reports regarding the specifications of the Surface Phone have suggested that the device might come equipped with Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 835 system-on-chip and may even run the 64-bit version of the Windows 10 mobile.
Furthermore, Microsoft Surface Phone is also expected to come with the ability to support an external keyboard, mouse and a fully-running display thereby, giving its users a complete desktop experience. They might even be able to use desktop applications such as Office 2016 and Adobe Photoshop as well.
Still, many specs and features of Microsoft Surface Phone is still not confirmed. Stay tuned for more updates.
