38 Trainees Officially Cut-off From 98 Original 'Produce 101' Season 2 Participants

Only 60 trainees are officially left in the competition for "Produce 101" Season 2. This happened after the boys were ranked to see who really deserved to be on the top. Check out here all the details regarding the huge elimination.

According to Allkpop, "Produce 101" Season 2 already filmed the elimination round for the 38 boys. The rankings used were based on the combination of the first to the third weeks. It all came from the on-site votes, winning team votes and online votes.

The 38 trainees were chosen to finally go home after staying low on the "Produce 101" Season 2 ranking for consecutive weeks. Supposedly, there was no twists or anything given to them. All were just told to be eliminated. Only the remaining 60 will continue to proceed with the next rounds.

Mnet also shared that the 60 "Produce 101" Season 2 trainees cried hard for those who left already. The huge elimination round was really an emotional period for everybody. But everything ends, this will surely be not the only time that this will happened.

On the other hand, Soompi also reported that despite the numerous "Produce 101" Season 2 controversies. The show continues to top the viewer's ratings.

"Produce 101 Season 2" is still the highest ranked for South Korea's TV programs Content Power Index (CPI). In the April rankings released by CJ E&M and Nielsen Korea, it stayed as top 1. While tvN's "Youn's Kitchen," SBS's "My Ugly Duckling," and more followed it.

Meanwhile, the remaining "Produce 101" Season 2 trainees will be greeting their fans soon with a relay self-cam shots. Jung Dong Soo, Choi Seung Hyuk, and Yoo Ho Yeon were the ones who are first in line for their "Shock" team.

The trio already happily chatted and played around on the cam to entertain everybody. This will supposedly be the next round that "Produce 101" Season 2 fans will see in the coming weeks.
