Microsoft Suface Pro 5 Release Date, Updates & Specs: Tablet Might Have Hinged Display, Access Foldable Screen like Book Or Laptop
Microsoft Surface Pro 5 has gathered much hype when it comes to portability, power, and performance. The standard of portable tablets has been completely changed by the inception of Surface Pro lineup in 2012. The Surface Pro lineup is expected to revolutionize the way we use portable devices like tablets.
Although the recent news circulating with regards to the specs and features of Microsoft Surface Pro 5, the successor of Surface Pro 4 can be expected to woo the users with its innovative hinged display feature. The eminent tipster Paul Thurott revealed that the Microsoft users just couldn't expect any dramatic changes in the Surface Pro lineup. But we can expect that the company might provide something extraordinary to the users as it has patented hinged display design recently.
Twitter's WalkingCat has shared the news that Microsoft has filed for a hinged display patent. With this, we can expect that the upcoming portable device -- the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 -- might have a hinged display. The tweet includes two photos in the first picture, you can see that the portable device can be folded easily and the user can access it vertically like a book or horizontally like a laptop.
That's the pretty cool innovation as you can handle your tablet as a book or as a laptop. The former CNET editor, Justin Jaff has added that the hinged display might be incorporated in Microsoft Surface 4, but it's highly unlikely we'd see this kind of boundary-pushing feature debut on the Surface 4. Although the company didn't clarify that in which device it is going to embed the hinged display design, but one thing is sure that the upcoming Microsoft Surface Pro 5 lineup might get the updated with the latest design.
Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will have the feature just similar to Surface Pro 4 including USB-C Port and rechargeable stylus, but we can expect something extravagant from the company. Microsoft has even bagged the CCC certification for the Surface Pro 5 in order to launch the device in the Chinese market. We can expect the device along with Windows 10 Creators Update at the May 2 event hosted by the company.
