'Resident Evil 7' 'Not a Hero' DLC will be delayed for further improvements.

While majority of fans was delighted with how the producers came up with "Resident Evil 7," the free DLC entitled, "Not a Hero" for the said game will be delayed until further notice. The team behind it already released a statement on why the DLC's release will be pushed from Spring this year to a later date.

In a three-minute YouTube video, "Resident Evil 7" Director Koshi Nakanishi and Producer Masachika Kawata said they really worked hard to have the DLC ready for a Spring release that they even got close to completion. However, because of the overwhelming response for the main game, "Resident Evil 7," they realized that what they put in the DLC would not be enough to match the fans' expectations.

With this, they are aiming to be at par with the quality of "Resident Evil 7," the reason they decided to delay the release of the "Not a Hero" DLC for the mean time. Nakanishi and Masachika went on to explain that the delay would buy them more time to develop the game and put more improvements.

They duo said they are hoping that fans would understand and also reiterated that the DLC would still be for free. They ended their statement by saying they only do these developments to produce something great for their fans. The video also revealed that the executive producer for "Resident Evil 7" "Not a Hero" DLC is Jun Takeuchi.

Meanwhile, despite the overwhelming response the "Resident Evil 7" received since it launched, Capcom announced today that the game missed its sales target. Despite selling around 3.5 Million copies worldwide, the game fell short by around 500,000 copies when it failed to meet its 4 M sales target, Escapist Magazine reported.

Capcom expected to meet the sales target since the game was able to sell around 2.5 million copies when it was launched. For more information about, "Resident Evil 7" game play, check out the video below.
