Jaden Smith Really Wants To Be A K-Pop Celebrity; Here’s What He Will Need To Go Through To Be A K-Pop Superstar

Jaden Smith announced on Twitter last week that he will be joining the K-Pop Industry by producing a K-Pop single in the next four months. Although it may seem a brand new story for others, the teenage star already had interactions with several K-Pop stars in 2013 when he promoted his film "After Earth" with his father, Will Smith.

In December 2016, Smith was also spotted on Twitter addressing G-Dragon as his inspiration. The latter replied to his tweet in turn saying they should do something together, Billboard reported. In the same month, the 18-year-old star again dropped hints on becoming a K-Pop Star when he again tweeted that people have been asking him about his dream of becoming a K-Pop artist.

Before even Smith releases his K-Pop single, two non-Korean descent producing K-Pop music had already been noticed by some K-Pop fans. These are the EXP Edition, a four-member boyband and CoCo Avenue, an R&B duo, who released songs in Korean accompanied by K-Pop style music videos.

Aside from Smith, other US-based artist also grew interest in the said genre when American Rapper Wale expressed his liking for the pop genre. In a matter of months, Wale was reported collaborating with BTS Rap Monster, Digital Music News reported.
