Google Pixel 2 is the most anticipated device for Google lover this year. The device is expected to be launched in October, but no firm date has been declared by the company. There are lots of speculation and rumors trolling the Internet and some of them even claim that the device might offer combine features of Samsung Galaxy S8 and iPhone 8
According to AndroidPit Google hardware division head, Rick Osterloh stated that "the second generation of Pixel is going to launch in 2017 even if you don't hear a date from me, you can count a successor this year." Although there is no firm date, there is a Google Pixel 2 for sure. After acknowledging the Google Pixel 2 release in 2017, the tech freaks are rounding up numerous spec and rumors for the device.
Google Pixel 2 is rumored to offer a bezel-less curved OLED display. Samsung has set a new standard for the upcoming devices and it seems like Apple and Google are going to follow this.
In addition, Google has stated that Pixel 2 is going to obtain waterproof certification of IP 67 and IP 68. Although recent Google Pixel was not resistant to water, the upcoming device can be submerged under the water at the depths of 1 to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes. Besides, the tech giant is also working on low light photography camera for offering extra features to the users.
Google Pixel 2 is reported to have the latest chipset Snapdragon 835, while some reports even claimed that the tech giant is going to produce its own chipset for the device. Besides, the company is going to ditch the headphone jack just like rumored iPhone 8. And it can be said that the upcoming Google Pixel might have combined features of Samsung Galaxy S8 and iPhone 8.
