Apple Unveils New iPad Models

iPad Air 2 is a good idea for Apple fans who wish to change their fourth generation iPad with a newer and more adept version. Meantime, the new iPad will be available in Apple Stores, including some authorized service providers.

iPad Air 2 Will Not Have Significant Change. iPad Air 2 is currently available in gold color option and in two storage variants - 32GB and 128GB. According to reports, the iPad Air 2 with 32GB will be sold at $399 for the WiFi-only and cellular versions.

With the launch of iPad Air 2, Apple is reportedly planning to rebrand the iPad Air and call it simply as the iPad now. However, reports also suggest that the iPad does not have a radical change in terms of specs. Although the addition of the A8X chipset, which suggests a striking difference is also worth noting, including the fact that the new 9.7-inch iPad is coming with a comparatively newer A9 chipset, Economic Times reported.

Service Replacement Of iPad 4 With iPad Air 2 Will Not Be A Universal Policy. Apple has not released any official policy that mandates iPad 4 users coming to Apple Retail for service to receive an iPad Air 2 for the cost of the service. However, reports confirm that stores are allowed to make the swap if there is no available stock.

Meantime, 20 Apple Retail store Genius Bars was spot-checked for three days and showed an adequate stock of the iPad 4. This is despite the information given by some sources inside the stores, claiming that the iPad 4 service units came in on an irregular basis after depletion, Apple Insider reported.
