‘NINANO’ Minzy Reveals Details About New Label; Music Works Better Than YG Entertainment?

Former 2NE1 member Minzy has debuted as a solo artist under Music Works last April 17. On her debut showcase, the "NINANO" singer spoke about the difference of YG Entertainment to her new label. Check out all the details about her statements.

According to Allkpop, Minzy recently said that Music Works is her new family. She feels better now with the label where are ideas are welcomed. Also, she is fine to do whatever she wants unlike before with YG Entertainment.

"Music Works is like a family. We are very 'fighting', 'fighting' so it's fun when we start and process things," Minzy revealed during her solo debut showcase. Alongside her statement, the one-time 2NE1 member also said that YG is far from the label as it's always systematic with rules.

As stated by Soompi, Minzy's statements are the opening her fans are waiting about her rift with YG Entertainment before. This even resulted to the disbandment of 2NE1. Now, she is all ready to bare her soul about her past and future endeavors.

"MINZY WORK 01 UNO" is the former 2NE1 singer's new mini album. It is part of her debut as a solo artist which featured her latest "NINANO" song. Along with her prior statements regarding Music Works and YG Entertainment, Minzy also added that she became pressured about this project.

"After leaving YG and 2NE1, both of which were like my hometown, I was very nervous. I felt pressured to meet all of the expectations," Minzy said about her experiences. "Preparing my album was a good catalyst, as it was a new challenge for me and a new opportunity for me to grow," She added.

Lastly, Minzy still showed her gratitude towards YG Entertainment. For her, it's her "ancestral home" where she grew. Now, she is ready to show her better and improved self after moving on from it.
