Recent reports suggest that among the games Microsoft is eyeing to showcase their latest gaming console 4K Xbox Project Scorpio is "Red Dead Redemption 2." Aside from this, the Rockstar franchise is expected to be launched around October this year.
While Rockstar Games has kept mum about specific details for "Red Dead Redemption 2," its trailer announcement revealed it would be out sometime in fall. The release could either be in September or October as the publisher never launches their games in August, Alphr pointed out.
The publication added that a certain UK retailer called Littlewoods accidentally slipped details of "Red Dead Redemption 2" in their listing. In it stated that the upcoming installment would arrive on Oct. 2 this year. The retailer deleted the date immediately after realizing it has already been leaked.
Coming back to Microsoft's list of games for a Project Scorpio showcase, Windows Central revealed in their report that a partial list of games considered for a showcase includes "Red Dead Redemption 2" along with "Forza 7" and "Battlefront 2," among others.
According to the report, the list is confirmed and authentic and will reveal "Forza Motorsport 7" as the headline title of Project Scorpio. The publication added that the game already looks real and stunning on the console's 4K resolution. Will it be the same for "Red Dead Redemption 2?"
In addition, Microsoft is trying to prevent fans from thinking that the upcoming Project Scorpio is merely an "Xbox One.5" that is not worthy of the purchase. According to the same report, the console will be bringing a lot of benefits for players of all types.
Games that are running in 900p to 1080p scaling on Xbox One can upgrade to the 4K resolution of the Project Scorpio which will make the gaming console more attractive. For more information about "Red Dead Redemption 2," check out the video below.
