Snap Inc. has revealed a new tool for Snapchat advertisers to gather the attention of millennial. Snapchat is the best place for advertisers to target more than 158 million daily users. The new tool is named as Snap to Store designed to provide advertisers the real-time locations of snap users.
Snapchat will now provide its advertisers with a new tool with the help of which the advertisers can track users based on the stores they visit. With the help of snap to store tool, the markets will be able to correlated ad campaigns in the app with actual foot traffic. This is a new kind of technique as the company wanted to maintain the interest of its investors and marketers.
As reported by Business Insider, this tools is available to any advertiser with physical stores in the U.S. that meets an undisclosed minimum spend amount, a Snap spokesperson told Business Insider on Wednesday. Besides, Snap has revealed that 80% of its users opened the app at Restaurants and 66% used at shopping malls.
Snapchat app is completely dependent on the user's phone's GPS. The new tool is designed to determine user's location with the help of phone's GPS including the stores they are visiting. Besides, Snapchat even provides an option to the user for turning off the app's access to their phone's location.
With the launch of the new tool, many companies have started participating for using it. Wendy has found that more than 42,000 Snapchat users visited its restaurants in a week after seeing its geo-filter for Jalapeno fresco chicken sandwich. Besides, Wendy, Paramount Pictures, and 7-Eleven have also started using the Snap to Store tool.
It is a good move by Snap Inc as it is currently facing a tough competition from facebook and Instagram. This new feature will attract many advertisers and marketers. Indeed, it is a great move to increase the profit as well as to retain its existence.
