Facebook Upgraded Messenger with New Group Payment Feature
Facebook is rolling out a new update for its Messenger which facilitates group payment. With the latest update, the users can transfer money, equally, divide the money and can track the amount received from the group members. This new features will highlight the shady friend who is due for the payment.
We all have experienced this messy thing when we go out to eat with a group of people and pay the Bill. The foremost thing is that it is quite tricky to divide the bill. Next thing it is even harder to track the payments received from each friend.
The Facebook has come up with a solution to divide as well as track the bills and amount received from friends. This new group payment feature is rolling out today and the multiple users can transfer money within a new or existing group conversation in Messenger. You can input either the amount you want to request per person or a total sum to be divided evenly between the members of the group.
The new group payment feature works exactly like individual payments in the Facebook Messenger app. All you need is just to tap on the money icon and type in the amount you are sending. You can even add a description that what it this amount for. The feature is rolling out to the US Facebook Messenger users only.
Although Facebook has not clarified when the rest of the world will get this feature, it is clear that the new feature will be available soon in other countries like Australia, UK, Germany, and other nations. Previously, the Facebook Messenger users could only request for the payment or request money from only one person at a time.
