'Tokyo Ghoul' Season 3 Release Date Delayed Again, Reasons Revealed
Fans of "Tokyo Ghoul" have to wait a little more longer following the news that its third season's release date is delayed again. It was previously announced that the hit anime series would be released later this year but did not materialize.
Its previous season gained a lot of negative feedback as production decided to stray away from the original story line of its manga. In addition, "Tokyo Ghoul" followers also complained about the lack of character development which resulted to a missing connection between the viewers and the characters.
The main reason for the delay was revealed by Saiko Plus via TV Season Spoilers where it reported that the production for the third season cannot push through because of the lack of material to start broadcasting. Moreover, the lack of an engaging story line also hinders the team behind to start with "Tokyo Ghoul." According to the report, the team behind the dark anime fantasy is already working on their lapses to improve the third season and to satisfy the fans.
Previously, news that "Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3 will be released later this year circulated online. Unfortunately, it was a mistake on the part of Viz Media Senior Director of Sales and Marketing Kevin Hamric that "Tokyo Ghoul" is releasing this year. According to Anime News Network, Hamric was actually referring to "My Hero Academia" when he spoke of the announcement. Viz Media later on released a statement about the executive's misquotation about the release of "Tokyo Ghoul."
Lastly, the third reason which reportedly caused the delay is the airing of the live action of "Tokyo Ghoul" which premieres on July 29. The film is directed by Kentaro Hagiwara and its costume was designed by Masanori Morikawa.
"Tokyo Ghoul" originally debuted as a manga created by Sui Ishida. For more information about the hit anime series, check out the video below.
