‘The Walking Dead’ Finale Surprise That Andrew Lincoln Didn’t Know About
The finale of “The Walking Dead” Season 7 was definitely something that no one expected to happen, including Andrew Lincoln. The actor said the big twist was a surprise for him as he only learned about it on the same day they were shooting it. He also revealed what he does to avoid spoilers.
Lincoln revealed that he actually prefers to know big twists on the day itself. He explains it gives him better and stronger performance this way. “I'm serious when I say that I don't ask for any information. I don't want to know.” He said. For that reason, it was only on the day of the shooting of the scene did Lincoln learned about The Scavengers and Jadis betrayal.
One of the things Lincoln avoid in his acting is not being able to deliver what his character must do in the show. So by just knowing only what the characters should know at that time is his style and fans praise him for it. Many fans said Lincoln’s performance was very good, considering he only knew about the big twist in the same day. The actor reveals their writers put a “really good joke in before and it diffuses,” and he said it’s a clever way of doing things that even he, himself didn’t see it coming.
Unfortunately, the next season of “The Walking Dead” will not come until June 4. It’s a much longer wait compared to the gap between two seasons in the past but reports say showrunners have revealed what to expect in the new season. One of the possibilities in Glenn’s return which the showrunner said is very possible. Although it is not certain if he will return as a hallucination of Maggie or in any other way in the series. Whichever it is, “The Walking Dead” fans are definitely happy of the possibility.
