'Stranger Things' Season 2 Release, Theories: Cast Films 'The Brain', 'The Lost Brother'; What Is In Store For The Sequel
"Stranger Things" season 2 is slated for a Halloween release. As of writing, director Tim Ives teases the last filming days for the final two episodes of the sequel. Meanwhile, theory has it that the monster in season 2 could be something the biker buddies already know. Not to mention, Barb's death story arc might be disclosed in the forthcoming episodes.
According to a report from Comic Book, Tim Ives, episode director of "Stranger Things" season 2, posted his director's chair while in the filming set of the series. Based on the image and his location, the cast seems to be filming in the woods in Indiana, Hawkins. In his Instagram post, the latter teases that he is set to film the last two episodes ("The Brain" and "The Lost Brother") of the sequel.
As for the other details, it seems like there will be more adventures in "Stranger Things" season 2 especially now that William Byers is out of the Upside Down world. However, there are theories that he might be dealing with the after effect of his stay in the portal. In the end of season 1, he coughed up a slug, this alone suggests that there is something going on in his body.
Adding on, other theories for "Stranger Things" season 2 is the alleged new monster in Hawkins. There is a possibility that biker buddies and Eleven did not totally defeat the Demogorgon. Based on the teaser, there is something more dangerous than the Demogorgon. Speculations suggest that maybe the monster called Thessalhydra is the next villain in the sequel.
Moreover, when it comes to Barb's story, fans are still hoping that the Duffer Brothers will at least give the character a proper ending through giving justice to her death. Though she only appeared in the series for a brief moment, the character already gained a lot of attention. As per David Harbour's (Chief Hopper) previous interview, there will be justice on Barb's death "in some sense".
On the other hand, Huffington Post reported that "Stranger Things" make it to the list of nominees in MTV Movie & TV Awards. The series gained four nominations namely Actor In A Show, Best Hero (Millie Bobby Brown nominated in both category), Show of The Year, and Best Villain (Demogorgon). "Pitch Perfect" actor Adam Devine will host the awards night on May 7.
