'NBA Playgrounds' Announced; Major Platforms Will Be Getting A Taste Of It This May
Baller fans are definitely in for a treat as game maker Saber Interactive has just announced their upcoming title dubbed "NBA Playgrounds." Gaming buffs will easily get acquainted with the inbound hoops title as it will bring in elements from both "NBA Street and "NBA Jam."
The announcement came with a sizzler reel which gives fans a sneak peek at what is in store for them. Just like the aforementioned titles, "NBA Playgrounds" may well seem to bring back those insane high-flying moves and sick dunks as it was suggested on the trailer.
Players can level up their preferred characters, though it was not disclosed if it will also showcase in-game items such as additional jerseys, new kicks, and the likes. Moreover, "NBA Playgrounds" will have several game modes to try on which include a single player mode and an offline and online multiplayer play, IGN reported.
Apart from the roster of current NBA superstars, some of the league's greats will be gracing "NBA Playgrounds." Some of the confirmed legends include James Worthy, Dominique Wilkins, Spud Webb, Patrick Ewing, Wilt Chamberlain, Shaquille O'Neal, and Allen Iverson who was already spotted early on in the teaser. A create a player mode is a plausible feature in the upcoming game, though such element has yet to be confirmed by the developer.
Furthermore, hardcourt playgrounds were also revealed in the upcoming title. Some of the known hoops spots don monikers such as Beats Car Show, Rucker, Paris, Beach Court, Amusement Park, Rooftops, and China, Forbes has learned. Such list could add up as new details about the game might be divulged in the coming weeks.
