Eiichiro Oda's widely serialized Manga - "One Piece" is one of the highly regarded comic book series in Japan and in some regions. However, with two decades under its belt and with Oda's penchant for having long winding story plots, fillers, back stories, and hiatuses, it is no wonder that it caps off the list of Manga series that is mostly dropped by its readers.

A Japanese website that goes by the name Goo Ranking conducted a survey as to which Manga series - finished or ongoing are most likely to be let go of by its faithfuls due to its lengthy storyline. The result came with a bit of a surprise as the pirate-laden lore of "One Piece" topped the roster.

"One Piece" has recently rolled out its 84th tankobon volume and it still tackles the predicament the Straw Hats are facing on Big Mom's Whole Cake Island. 2017 also marks the franchise's 20th anniversary and an itinerary of events are now being set up for this milestone.

Albeit these mentioned feats, a substantial number of readers have left "One Piece's" Manga adaptation as they have reasoned out that they have already grown tired of it. The website even pointed out that most readers of the Manga - who were still students back then when it came out in 1997, are not getting any younger not to mention that they have other things to be prioritized.

As aforementioned, another factor that was highlighted was the number of intermissions that "One Piece" has incurred over the years, Anime News Network reported. Anticipating fans who cannot wait to grab ahold of the next chapter tend to get irked whenever they learn that the series will be on a short break or a non-canon chapter will be released.

Despite the sad statistics, "One Piece's" Manga adaptation still remains a popular choice among readers including its anime adaptation that is about to delve into the Big Mom arc. Check out "One Piece" episode 783 preview here:
