Android Wear 2.0 Update: Google Confirm Another Delay But 5 More Smartwatches Are Getting Updated

Google announces another delay for their Android Wear 2.0, saying an unspecified bug was caused the issue. The company doesn't explain what exactly this bug is, but it is significant enough for Google to postpone the newest wearable software to the several leading smartwatch devices.

Despite this delay issue, the Google, however, made to release the Android Wear 2.0 update to some smartwatch devices. It looks like the bug causing the delay hasn't been too serious, though, and Google says that the Android Wear 2.0 is now available for five more watches.

The following smartwatch devices are receiving the new Android Wear 2.0 update; the Polar M600, Nixon Mission, Fossil Q Wander, Fossil Q Marshal and Michael Kors Access. These watches join the Fossil Q Founder, Casio Smart Outdoor Watch WSD-F10 and TAG Heuer Connected which were already updated to Wear 2.0.

The Android Wear 2.0 was announced in May 2016, but still, couldn't totally release due to some technical challenges encounter during production. Despite this, Google has recently promised that the Android Wear 2.0 update will come soon and those who want to wear the new wearable software don't need to wait for too long anymore.

"We have started rolling out the Android Wear 2.0 update to Fossil Q Founder, Casio Smart Outdoor Watch WSD-F10, and Tag Heuer Connected," Google said. "For other devices, the update is currently being delayed due to a bug found in final testing. We will push the update to the remaining devices as soon as the issue is resolved."

When the new Android Wear 2.0 update is available, users will get a notification from Google. Aside from the mentioned wearable devices above, the other smartwatches compatible with Wear 2.0 are; TCasio PRO TREK Smart, New Balance RunIQ, ASUS ZenWatch 2 & 3, LG Watch Sport, LG Watch Style and LG G Watch R.
