"Star Wars Rebels'" third season took fans in one heck of a thrill ride as it went down to be the best season yet not to mention its finale that featured awesome space skirmishes. Now that the show ended in a cliffhanger fashion, fans are now musing what will happen with Ezra Bridger and the rest of the Ghost Crew in "Star Wars Rebels" Season 4.

In a recent interview with the "Rebel's Recon" YouTube channel which was cited by Screen Rant, showrunner Dave Filoni talked about the fourth season of "Star Wars Rebels" including the return of some key characters in the animated series. Filoni then revealed that Mon Mothma from the lore's Galactic Senate will be back next season alongside Saw Gerrera. The producer added that there will be friction between these two rebel leaders as both of them follow different principles, Screen Rant reported.

Aside from the show's characters, the fandom on this side of the force might be seeing the iconic X-Wing fighters speeding across space as it was teased by Filoni himself. Right before the webisode ended, the show's host, Andi Gutierrez featured a concept artwork from "Star Wars Rebels'" next season suggesting that Season 4 will be whole lot darker than the previous installment.

Meanwhile, rumors are getting rife that a number of "Star Wars" related projects that are lined up after Episode 9 have been leaked. If such fits in the bag, it is said that the first standalone film after "Star Wars Episode 9" will be the story of Obi-Wan Kenobi. It is said that it will be bridging the gap between the events of "Revenge of the Sith" and "A New Hope," Digital Spy has learned. A fourth trilogy is also rumored to be in the works, though such information can be deemed circumstantial as of the moment.

"Star Wars Episode 8 " will be out on December 15. In the meantime, watch Daisy Ridley's lightsaber training here:
