Samsung Galaxy S8 is now available for preorder. But latest reports suggest that Best Buy will start offering the unlocked versions of the new Galaxy phones that could be used with any major US carrier. That said, those interested may have to wait until May 9.

Unlocked Samsung Galaxy S8 Is A Smart Move

An unlocked Samsung Galaxy S8 could make it easier for any phone owners to move to another cellular carrier. According to reports, this is due to the fact that it can support the radio technologies for any desired cellular carrier. While it is legal to unlock any new phone in the US, it is only useful if the phone does not support the proper LTE bands that the carrier requires for high-speed data.

Samsung Galaxy S8, meantime, comes with a software that owners may not usually remove. But if it's a factory unlocked version, only the software that the manufacturer has intended will only be seen, although some programs may still be included. However, the phone would only have lesser unwanted services, which makes the unit run much faster, CNET reported.

Samsung Galaxy S8 Will Feature A Dual-Edged Display

The new Samsung Galaxy S8 is coming with a dual-edged display similar with the S7 edge. According to reports, the metal and glass sandwich design will continue a premium, beautiful and waterproof design. However, some changes have been made to the new phone to appear a little distinct from its predecessors.

Samsung Galaxy S8 removes the physical home button at the front, while the bezels for an almost all-screen front has also been reduced. With that, the unit becomes smaller compared to the S7 edge at 148.5 x 68.2 x 8mm, but with a 0.3-inches larger display.

Meantime, the new Samsung Galaxy S8  will be available at £689, while the S8 Plus will cost £779. Both will be released in the market on April 28, Pocket Lint reported. Check Out Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+: Official Introduction here:
