New Apple TV Features Third-Party Apps, Siri, Touch Remote, & More

Apple News Update: Apple Removes More Than 250 Apps For Accessing User’s Information

The fourth generation Apple TV is open for pre-orders today. The new device comes with new updates, special features, and two sizes. 

The Apple TV is proudly the first feature an App Store for third-party applications. With no jailbreak necessary, users can reach new apps and games from third-party developers. This new device also features SIri integration. While the Apple TV is available for order in 80 countries, only about 12 are reported to support Siri usage. 

The Apple TV comes with a touch-based track pad that functions as a remote control. Users can fast-forward and pause through finger sensitivity. The track pad remote control is also accessible for playing games on the device. 

The Apple TV is available for $149 with 32GB and $199 with 64GB. An addition Siri remote is available for an addition $79 and Remote Loops for $12. THe device comes with an A8 processor, and support H.264 video up to 1080p at 60 fps, 802.11ac Wi‑Fi, Ethernet, and Bluetooth 4.0. 

The first shipments of the new Apple TV will begin shipping on Oct. 30.

The third generation Apple TV is also on sale for $69.
