Apple has updated its MacBook Air range in 2016, but it was a minor and frankly disappointing update. The update merely included an optional RAM upgrade in the standard package of the 13-inch model. Since then we haven't been heard anything about the laptop by the company.

Right now, Apple is focusing on launching its next range of Smartphone including iPhone 8 or iPhone 10. It is speculated that the company is providing something extraordinary to mark its successful decade in the world of smartphone. Is it possible that the company just ignoring MacBook Air or planning something different for it too?

Recently, Apple has updated its store with some cool and high-end devices including special red edition iPhone 7, new entry-level iPad, and iPhone SE and many other accessories. But the Apple MacBook fans were disappointed as they couldn't see any update for their MacBook. Will Apple MacBook Air will be updated at the spring event launch?

A significant news described that the Best Buy has dropped its MacBook Air price in February. It indicates that the product update is on the way or it is also possible that Apple is manufacturing more of its own chips to use in MacBooks.

Last year, Apple MacBook Air fans were desperately waiting for an update and the spring event represents one year since it was the last update. But instead, Apple used the event to show off the iPhone SE and iPad Ro with the 9.7-inch screen. The fans had to wait until April 19 for Apple to release MacBooks and updated MacBook Air.

Apple MacBook Air update was very much underwhelming last year. The MacBook Pro got a power boost and a new Rose Gold color update, while on the other hand, MacBook Air simply got a new 8GB memory standard and that was for the 13-inch model only. The 11-inch model was completely ignored by the company as per Forbes.

With this is can be expected that the company might be planning to introduce an entry-level MacBook just like it did with the recent iPad Air 2. It can be speculated that the company is planning to provide something affordable and cheaper for the consumers.
