‘Iron Man 4' Confirmed: Iron Heart Riri Williams Might Replace Tony Stark In The Upcoming Sequel That Will Probably Release In 2020
A bunch of Marvel movies is set to release these coming years, but MCU fans will be glad to hear this latest news update about the "Iron Man 4." In the recent guesting of Robert Downey Jr to "Ellen DeGeneres" show, the actor confirms that the fourth "Iron Man" movie is coming on the big screen and might potentially be being filmed right now.
According to reports, the "Iron Man 4" might come in the year 2020 release. However, reports also claim that Robert Downey Jr might not be the film's protagonist, fueling the rumors that the actor will not reprise his role in the sequel.
In the Marvel comics, a teenage girl named Riri Williams will replace Tony Stark as Iron Man. Stark will meet Williams and impressed with her after learning that she had reverse-engineered his old suit. He will then pass his status to her, and instead of using the name Iron Man, she will call herself as the Iron Heart. Since the MCU is based on comics, this Iron Heart phase might happen on the "Iron Man 4."
Also, from the previous report of the Movie Web, the young actor Ty Simpkins will play the role as Tony Stark in "Iron Man 4" instead of Robert Downey Jr. The actor and Marvel haven't confirmed this rumor.
Robert Downey Jr. first contract on Marvel for "Iron Man" movie ends on the "Iron Man 3." His second contract was signed, bringing them to the upcoming movies, "Spider-Man: Homecoming" and "Avengers: Infinity War." No details announced whether the "Iron Man 4" is included in the said contract.
All these rumors, aside from the confirmation of Robert Downey Jr. to "Iron Man 4," are still unofficial and haven't been confirmed by Marvel and all the related actors. However, since there are big chances that the fourth movie is being shot right now, official details will probably release very soon.
