'Dragon Ball's' Akira Toriyama On Forgetting One Of Son Goku's Super Saiyan Forms; 'Dragon Ball Super' Episode 83 To Feature The Arrival Of Bulla

Akira Toriyama has introduced tons of characters and alter egos in his extensive "Dragon Ball" universe. With the deluge of heroes and villains that came and went off the franchise, it is quite reasonable that one of Manga's greats will be forgetting a character or two in the massive mythos.

Fans might have wondered back then when "Dragon Ball Z" was the fad, that Son Goku's Super Saiyan 3 persona was seldom seen right after the "Majin Buu Arc." Such mystery was finally solved in a recent interview with Toriyama as he answered some of the questions that fans are eager to ask him.

In a recent interview with V-Jump as cited by Comicbook, the legendary "Dragon Ball" mangaka was asked about his penchants and work habits whenever he is working on a project. When asked if he is the type of illustrator who jots down notes to keep track of his work, Toriyama replied that he does not and added that he has had met numerous gaffes in doing such.

The "Dragon Ball" creator added that he tends to forget a lot which is justifiable considering the complexity of both manga and anime. However, he then revealed that he already forgot about Son Goku's Super Saiyan 3 phase and what made it more surprising was he once thought of it as the protagonist's Super Saiyan 2 form. From Toriyama's explanation, it does make sense since the first two transformations are very much similar in appearance with very subtle differences.

Meanwhile, "Dragon Ball Super" episode 83 will be more of a filler installment as Son Goku was halted from fighting Toppo in episode 82. The upcoming episode - to be dubbed "Form The Universe 7 Representing Team! Who Are The Strongest Ten?," will feature the Saiyan on a race against time in recruiting Universe 7's strongest warriors to compete in the Tournament of Power.

"Dragon Ball" puns believe that Son Goku will be urging fellow Saiyan Vegeta to join the multiversal competition. However, the latter will decline due to the fact that her wife Bulma is about to give birth to Bulla (Bra), according to Blasting News. In addition, "Dragon Ball Super" episode 83 will usher the return of Lapis who popularly known as Android 17.
