The next Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is still not introduced to the public, and a lot of tech critics getting excited about what they could see on this upcoming new device. As usual for the tech industry, this unrevealed device flooded with rumors and speculations, and for the latest news, AMD is claimed to be the device's next processor.

This Microsoft Surface Pro 5 rumor started when the trailer of the movie "Alien: Covenant" appears to show a Surface device. According to PC Advisor report, the film is sponsored by AMD and the description reads "Intelligence powered by AMD, Ryzen, and Radeon."

Plenty of reports say that the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is getting the latest Intel 7th Generation Kaby Lake chips, but a source of theories, which is mentioned above, affects this Intel processor theory. Regarding this AMD issue, another report says that the upcoming Surface Pro 5 might launch in two variants, one with Intel Chips and other with an AMD processor, Droid Report noted.

Microsoft launched the Surface Pro 4 in October 2015 Windows Event, so October 2016 is the expected date for the Microsoft Surface Pro 5, but the company releases only two related devices, the new Surface Book i7 and Surface Studio. After, fans expect the device on CES 2017 and MWC 2017 events, but the same thing happens.

Now, new reports suggest the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will be released during spring along with the Windows 10 major Creators Update. Additional to this theory, the price cut for the existing model can be a decent sign that the device is on its way. Expensive models received price cuts, like the Surface Pro, which is previously cost of $935 USD is now available at $760.
