Latest Gmail Feature Update: The Google Webmail Users Likely To Get More Freedom With Videos?
For the ones who use Gmail for their webmail services, there is a big feature update announcement. With the latest Gmail update for fans, watching videos will not be much of a hassle. Later today, Google revealed the new feature update that will let Gmail users control how they watch their videos through the webmail service with much more flexibility.
As cited by Google, the latest Gmail feature update will let users access the video attachments directly through the browser window. In other words, users will not have to chop and change to download the video attachment and view it. By the looks of it, the new update will let Gmail users save a lot of their time and storage on their devices.
This is how to access the latest Gmail feature update
Once a user opens an email with a video attachment, there will be a visible thumbnail of the video in the attachment section which will offer a streaming option. According to Google, the new Gmail update features a similar algorithm as seen on YouTube, Facebook, and other similar apps which make sure that users are able to preview their videos in high quality without actually downloading them.
The new Gmail update is likely to come out soon and then can be upgraded from the current Gmail version. Gmail is stepping up to meet the needs of its users more often these days as this turned out to be the second major update since last month. The first major Gmail feature update was based on the increase in the size of attachment files up to 50 MB. This will let users send and receive more photos and files through their Gmail accounts.
Unluckily, the attachment update is still not going to work for bigger attachments which are still limited to 25 MB for the time being. However, for bigger files, we still have Google Drive which will let users access their data up to 5 TB. With Gmail being one of the most widely-used webmail apps, it is significant to provide better feature updates for users. We hope to receive the latest Gmail feature update and much more like it soon.
