Google Nexus 7 is believed to be the company's current focus this year. Based on previous announcement, the device is the much awaited new flagship tablet for 2017.

The new Google Nexus 7 tablet is rumored to come with a new OS called Google Andromeda OS. However, some reports claim that this seems unlikely, considering that more than one operating system may confuse the developers and the consumers.

Moreover, other reports also suggest that Google Nexus 7 will have the latest Android 7.1 Nougat, According to them, it would make more sense since the device will be more familiar to users across the globe. However, the likelihood that Google may head in a different direction and instead, pre-install the Chrome OS is also worth noting.

Google Nexus 7, meantime, is reported to feature some high-end specs to compete with the other tablets like the recently released Samsung Galaxy Tab S3. Reports also suggest that the new device will sport a 7-inch AMOLED display with a 2560 x 1440 resolution, and may likely come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, along with a 4GB of RAM.  In addition, Google Nexus 7 will reportedly feature a 64GB of internal storage configuration and a likely USB Type-C port, Droid Report reported.

Meanwhile, Google Nexus and Pixel devices have started receiving the monthly Android security update. Alongside, the tech giant also published full OTA and factory images for the supported Nexus and Pixel devices.

Google Pixel and Pixel XL users, meantime, can now download the Nougat-based builds NOF27B. Other devices with the updated factory images and full OTA images include the Nexus 5X with N4F26T build, Nexus 6P with N4F26T and Nexus 9 with N4F26T build.  Furthermore, the tech giant has also released the new N4F26T for Pixel C while Nexus 6 has received NBD92D build, Gadgets.NDTV reported. Watch Google Nexus 7 (2017): What You Need To Know here:
