Actor Hong Suk Chan didn't skimp on words as he added his voice to the wave of criticisms hurled against actress Kim Min Hee and director Hong Sang Soo's affair. Even the most famous South Korean gay celebrity slammed the illicit relationship and thought it wrong. The couple made headlines last year when the 55-year-old director left his same-age wife of many years and their college-aged daughter to be with the younger actress.

Hong Suk Chan expressed his disapproval on the latest episode of Channel A's "Heard It Through The Grapevine." The 46-year-old TV personality and the rest of the panel discussed their opinion on the controversial couple and their movie "On the Beach at Night." They talked about a particular line in the movie where Kim Min Hee talks about having dated too many "good looking men" who can only "act the way you'd expect them to act with that face" and so decided not to "look at men's faces anymore."

Hong Suk Chan dissed the said dialogue and considered it "so petty and sad" and even a "petty revenge" should it be true that director Hong Sang Soo aimed it toward the actress' past boyfriends. Kim Min Hee dated good looking actors and top stars such as Lee Jung Jae, Lee Soo Hyuk and Jo In Sung.

Although Hong Suk Chan described Kim Min Hee as "a woman who has achieved everything in both love and career," he still unveiled his prevailing opinion of her. Allkpop quoted him as saying, "But on the other hand, I also think that there is someone who is hurting a lot seeing all this. At that age when she's done all that, her only choices are to maintain it or to fall down." According to Allkpop, director Hong Sang Soo's wife told Star News in an interview last year that she will continue waiting for her husband until she dies and that she's still hoping he'll return to her.
