Mac Pro 2017 News: Tim Cook Hints Creative Mac Improvements, Apple CEO Denies Mac, iPad Lineup Merger
Mac users have been disappointed with Apple's decision not to release new models for the device but Tim Cook's statement during the tech giant's investor meeting bolstered hopes of a concrete Mac Pro 2017 plan. The Apple CEO was quick to reply to questions regarding the Mac Pro which had no update since 2013. His comments also made it clear that Apple has not abandoned the line completely and they would eventually release a more powerful device.
The issue of releasing a new Mac Pro machine is not new. As noted in some outlets, Apple had a lot of excuses on why they couldn't release a new version of the device. At one time, they blamed it on the unavailability of CPUS which was supposed to be the fault of Intel Corporation and not of Apple. This did not stop people from speculating that the company is not going to pursue the line and Mac Pro 2017 rumors would definitely excite Mac users.
While Cook imparted his thoughts on the fate of the Mac lineup, there is no denying that Apple is under so much pressure to release a Mac Pro that could trump all other machines in the market. Cook also dismissed speculations that the iPad and Mac line will converge soon and this is the reason for the lack of updates in the Mac department. He made it clear that tablets will never be a replacement for Mac computers.
In his reply, Tim Cook emphasized how important the Pro line is to them. "The creative area is very important to us in particular. Don't think that [because] something we've done or something we're doing that isn't visible yet is a signal that our priorities are elsewhere. " Given these developments, there would definitely be numerous Mac Pro 2017 rumors although it would be better to hear Apple's timeline for introducing the device soon.
