Katy Perry & Orlando Bloom ‘Still Love Each Other?’
Celebrity couple Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom still love each other and only need "some space" for now before they can possibly get together again, said sources. The former lovebirds released a joint statement Tuesday night to announce that they're "taking respectful, loving space at this time" after slightly more than a year of firework romance. Sources from both parties reveal the two still have their communication open.
Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom posed for a photo together at the Vanity Fair's Oscars After-Party but that's about the only time they spent together that Sunday night. Photographers captured the "Wide Awake" singer arms linked not with the British heartthrob, who's standing a good distance away, but with BFF Allison Williams who seemed to offer a protective barrier. Still, an E! News insider insists that the now-exes "both still love each other very much, though, and getting back together could happen once they have some space." A separate source added to the claim and revealed that the former couple hasn't burned bridges.
Friends of Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom revealed the relationship has been unstable for the past months and that the pop star and actor broke up in good terms. "There was nothing dramatic or over the top," Bloom's friend told People. "Katy's going through a lot of changes for her new music - both physically and emotionally - and this was a part of that." A source close to the singer added that the relationship was "never really supposed to be serious" or "something permanent." The actor from "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy, on the other hand, still didn't intend to settle down despite engagement rumors.
Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom were first seen together at the Golden Globes After-Party in January last year. They took their brief romance all over the world as they vacationed with friends and each other's families. The "Teenage Dream" singer even got to meet Bloom's six-year-old son Flynn with ex-wife Miranda Kerr. Perry used to be married to British comedian Russell Brand.
