TWICE, BTS, Red Velvet Named Top Singers For February
February has been a busy week for Kpop artists and based on the latest data, Red Velvet, BTS, and TWICE are the top groups for the month. BTS and TWICE just released their new albums and the songs from the newly released album of both groups have been performing really well on hit charts.
Brand reputation rankings for February reveal that BTS, TWICE, and Red Velvet are the two three groups when it comes to brand reputation rankings. The Korean Business Research Institute was behind this study which has been conducted from Jan. 23 to Feb. 24.
The information has been gathered from 118,483,385 responses. Out of the data set, BTS came in first at 17.38 percent of the total population with a score of 18,711,518. The group was followed by TWICE with a score of 15,307,269. Meanwhile, Red Velvet came in third place with 12,186,350. Rounding up the top five, EXO and BLACKPINK came in fourth and fifth place, respectively.
BTS "Spring Day" has been performing well and it exceeded expected views when it was launched. The group has a huge following. Despite the recent controversy during the 6th GAON Music Chart Awards, there is no denying that the group remains popular. The choreography for their new song "Not Today" was just released on Monday, Feb. 27. The choreography for the song is definitely cool and it went viral instantly after its release.
Meanwhile, TWICE's new song "Knock Knock" already exceeded 30 million views on YouTube in less than a week. This is even a better record compared to the MV for BTS' "Spring Day" which was released a few days prior to "Knock Knock."
BTS and TWICE may have achieved record breaking numbers for their newest releases but as of last week, Red Velvet's track "Rookie" is still at number one in the Singles Music Chart. Given these achievements, there is no denying that BTS, TWICE, and Red Velvet deserves to be named as the top three groups when it comes to brand reputation.
