IU And Taeyeon Fight Over A Musician On Valentine’s Day

Last year's most popular idols IU and Girls Generation's Taeyeon fought over a musician this Valentine's Day.

Singers IU and Taeyeon expressed their affection towards musician Hong So Jin through social media Tuesday.

According to all K-pop, IU wrote under the comment sections on Hong So Jin's Instagram post, "Ah... I wish you only do IU's concerts."

Pianist-producer Hong So Jin worked with singers Leesang, Baek Ji Young, Hyorin, JYJ's Junsu, 2 AM and Sung Si Kyung. The musician also seemed to be close friends with both IU and Taeyeon.  

Taeyeon then responded disapprovingly and wrote, "Ji Eun (IU's legal name), I'm sorry but hongttochi is mine..." 

The 2016 Gallup poll revealed that the 27-year-old Girls Generation member topped the list of the most popular Korean idol among Korean teens around their 20s, according to all K-pop. Taeyeon garnered 11.8 percent votes and dislodged from the top position the 23-year-old Korea's "little sister" IU with 6.6 percent votes.

Both Korean idols are known to be close friends as well as captured by a photo dubbed by online community boards as "Taeyeon's strong affection for IU."

The photo captured             Taeyeon giving a seeming back hug to IU at the backstage of the Korea-China Song Festival in 2012.

"Shows warmth," Soompi quoted a netizen as saying on the photo comments.

"They're friends," added another. 

IU is also BFF with actress-DJ Yoo In Na and celebrated the Valentine's Day together.

The 34-year-old actress-DJ revealed they first met at the variety show "Heroes" and knew right away they were soulmates.

"We started sharing things that girls don't normally talk about with each other and became true friends beyond the age gap. IU and I are truly soul mates," said Yoo In Na in an interview with enews in 2014, as reported by mwave.

"IU is a really lovely person," she added. "When I'm down, she would ask to meet up and bring a gift along and once when I went into the radio station, IU had left a box of chocolate for me. She is a loveable and beautiful child."
