T O P and Junsu Entering The Military

BIGBANG member T.O.P. decided to enlist with the military. The news made a lot of his fans feel sad since they will no longer see their idol due to his required military service. T.O.P. announced that he will start his military enlistment on Feb. 9. On the day of T.O.P.'s enlistment, fans flocked to the military base in Nonsan and brought industrial sized helium balloons with them. These fans even brought banners with them and they were bashed for being shortsighted and in forgetting that they are at a military base.T.O.P.'s fans still flocked to the base where the star will receive his basic military training in Feb. 9.

These actions are contrary to T.O.P.'s wishes. People were already expecting that some fans would go out of their way to send off their K-pop idol. However, what people did was beyond expectation since they even brought balloons. In military bases, it is inappropriate to fly objects and decorate the perimeter with banners. This is exactly what those fans did.

VIPS went on to comment on the atrocious behavior of their fans for ruining the reputation of the fandom These actions were also criticized since it disrespected T.O.P.'s request for a quiet enlistment.

Prior to the star's enlistment, his agency YG Entertainment issued an official statement as to how T.O.P. feels about his upcoming enlistment. Based on this statement, the idol wants his enlistment to be quiet and he is not interested in doing a special ceremony from his fans on his behalf. In fact, the BIGBANG member also made it public that he did not want his brothers in the group to drop in for a visit as his send off. However, a prior report confirmed that G-Dragon went ahead to bid him goodbye.
