BTS's 'DNA' Set A New Record, Gets 70 Million Views

BTS' "Wings: You Never Walk Alone" has more than 700,000 pre-orders as of date. This record-breaking number is way more than the pre-orders for their second album "Wings." The numbers recorded for their album sales were approximately 500,000 when they released the album in October 2016. "Wings: You Never Walk Alone" is going to be the continuation album for BTS.

The album which is due for release a day before Valentine's day on Feb. 13 is going to contain four tracks. This will include the song "Spring Day" for which the group released an MV teaser. The release of the continuation album will bring the total number of songs to 18. BTS' continuation album has long been awaited by its fans.

Just recently, however, the group has been under controversy since their song "Outro: Wings" was considered to be too inappropriate for broadcast. One line in the song roughly translates to "Bastard, don't get scared." Aside from that line, there were also curses in the song which was reason enough to ban it from a broadcast.

KBS deemed the song to be unfit for broadcast. The reports also detailed that Big Hit Entertainment only submitted "21st Century Girl" and "Blood Sweat & Tears" when they submitted the songs for consideration under the continuation album.

Despite the ban on airing the song due to the inappropriate line in the song, it was decided that this new album will revolve mainly on the title track so the lyrics will not be edited out.

Even with the latest controversy, the fans of the group show no signs of stopping. In fact, the latest number for preorders show that despite these issues, BTS is still going to have a successful launch.

Meanwhile, BTS is going to start its world tour in Seoul from Feb. 18 to 19. The said concert is going to take place at Gocheok SkyDome.
